Sporting KC Weekly Schedule: May 10-15, 2022

Sporting Kansas City will play the club’s first doubles week of the year as the team host FC Dallas on Tuesday at Children’s Mercy Park in the US Open Cup Round of 16 before resuming the regular season of MLS with a road trip to face the Portland Timbers on Saturday at Providence Park.

Tuesday’s game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. CT as Sporting Kansas City and FC Dallas play for a berth in the US Open Cup Round of 16. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek and are included in Sporting Kansas City member packages. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with local radio broadcasts available on Sports Radio 810 WHB – with coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. CT – and La Grande 1340 AM for Spanish listeners.

On Thursday, US Soccer will conduct the draw to determine the matches and hosts for the US Open Cup Round of 16 to be played on May 24-25.

After getting a result on the road against defending MLS Cup champions NYCFC with a scoreless draw on Saturday, Sporting Kansas City will hit the road again to face 2021 MLS Cup runners-up Portland Timbers this Saturday. The Western Conference matchup will be televised locally on 38 The Spot with three hours of coverage starting at 8:30 p.m. CT. The show will also air live on and in the Sporting KC app for viewers in Kansas and Missouri (excluding the St. Louis area per MLS policy), as well as on ESPN + for out-of-market subscribers.

Additionally, Sporting KC partner pubs across the Midwest will broadcast the game, including an enhanced watch party at the No Other Pub in the KC Power & Light District. Local radio programs will also be broadcast on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.

On Sunday, Sporting KC Youth Soccer will host a skills camp from 5-7 p.m. at Compass Minerals Sporting Fields (1500 N. 90th St.) in Kansas City, Kansas, for boys and girls ages 7-13. Camp registration costs $30 per participant and is available online.
