HaulSuite, a technology company specializing in software that optimizes operations for LTL carriers, announced that Southwestern Motor Transport (SMT) has completed the rollout of its complete RouteMax (P&D) pickup and delivery solution. With RouteMax’s route optimization, dispatch and mobile app, the carrier can deliver better service and more efficient P&D operations.

Previously, SMT had deployed RouteMax’s inbound planning module for route optimization, but is currently implementing its Intelligent Dispatching and Smart Driver Mobile application. These new features were released earlier this year and implemented across 16 terminals and over 200 SMT pilots in just under a month.

HaulSuite’s RouteMax offers integrated advanced route optimization, intelligent dispatch and a smart driver mobile app that improves driver productivity and asset utilization while consistently meeting all service commitments. By adding Dispatching and Driver App, plans developed in Inbound Planning benefit from additional real-time data to fill plan gaps.

The implementation of these new capacities in such a short time required a partnership between SMT and the RouteMax teams. Since RouteMax is designed to connect to other management systems, some integrations were already in place beforehand. Both groups focused on configuring the solution to suit their unique needs and coordinating training and deployment to SMT terminals and drivers.

Since deployment, the SMT team has observed significant improvements in operational KPIs (stops / hour, invoices / hour, miles / stop and invoices / trip).
