Oceania unveils new bar concepts for its next ship, the Vista: Travel Weekly

Oceania Cruises has unveiled its bar program for the Vista, the line’s first Allura-class ship which will debut next May.

The Casino Mixology Bar is a new concept focused on the art of cocktails. Oceania predicts the bar will be an Instagram favorite for serving Negronis straight from wooden barrels and cocktails blasted with aromatic smoke bubbles.

Also new are two specialty drink carts. The Bubbly Bar will serve champagne cocktails and the Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar lets guests whip up the classic brunch cocktail the way they like it.

Martinis, Oceania Cruises’ signature bar, will feature Mermaid gin and vodka, handcrafted on the Isle of Wight. The new martini menu pays tribute to the big names in Hollywood: Lady Hepburn, Bogart’s Casablanca, Blue Eyes Sinatra and Notorious Bond.

The Baristas coffee bar will present a new drinks menu with cocktails based on Amari, an Italian herbal liqueur.

The Aquamar Kitchen, a new concept serving lean and healthy cuisine, will focus its drink selection on low- and non-alcoholic options. The restaurant will offer non-alcoholic Lyre spirits, including Dry London Gin, American Malt Whisky, White Cane Spirit Rum and Amalfi Spritz.

Aquamar Kitchen will also serve non-alcoholic wines from Pierre Zéro. The drink menu will include cocktails such as Skinny Mimosa, Innocent Kir, Pure Amalfi Spritz, Passion Fruit Colada, Dark and Spicy and NO-Groni.

Red Ginger, a pan-Asian restaurant, will offer Asian beers, a variety of sakes and cocktails with Asian flavors such as ginger, turmeric, coriander and lychee. Cocktail names include Tokyo Whisper, Oriental Pear Mule, Asia Daisy, Namaste, and Hanoi Nights.

For champagne lovers, Oceania offers the Moët & Chandon Champagne Experience, a three-course dinner that pairs vintages with dishes such as Mediterranean sea bass tartare, duck foie gras terrine, and a corned beef tenderloin. The Dom Pérignon Experience, a six-course Oceania tasting menu introduced in 2019, will be featured on the Vista as part of the intimate Privée dining room.

The Vista will also offer lunches with wine pairings.

The Vista’s maiden voyage of 1,210 passengers departs May 20, 2023 from Trieste, Italy. A 12-night cruise ends in Athens. During her inaugural season, the ship will criss-cross the Mediterranean and the Côte d’Azur.
