Quakertown will now have a new form of public transportation.

Megabus is expanding its service in Philadelphia by adding eleven additional routes, including to and from Quakertown. Rodrigo Torrejón wrote about transport news for The Philadelphia Investigator.

The expansion is the result of a partnership between Coach USA’s intercity bus service and Fullington Trailways, a service with a number of central Pennsylvania routes. The partnership will connect Philadelphia to eleven cities, including Quakertown.

New timetables for the added routes went live on August 29. Tickets for the new routes became available from last Thursday at us.megabus.com.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to embark on this partnership to expand the service throughout Pennsylvania,” said Colin Emberson, vice president of business for Coach USA. “As demand for travel continues to grow, these new routes will provide many convenient new options for our customers and will be a great addition to our existing network.”

Other routes that are also part of the Philadelphia expansion include Williamsport, Lewisburg, Danville, Bloomsburg, Hazleton, Jim Thorpe, Beaver Meadows, Hudsondale, Lehighton, and Allentown.
