Customs arrest 14 smugglers in the S/West


The Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Area A, of the Nigeria Customs Service, said on Thursday it arrested 14 smugglers in the southwestern states in May as they attempted to smuggle in contraband items in the country.

Acting FOU A Area Controller, Ikeja, Kehinde Ejibunu, speaking to reporters yesterday in Lagos, said: “14 suspects have been arrested in connection with the crimes. Among the goods seized during the month under review are prominently sacks of rice and second-hand clothes”.
