Butech Bliss Acquires Local Manufacturing Facilities | News, Sports, Jobs


LM Equipment & Design and Lehmann Mills located at 11000 State Route 62 in Green Township, north of Salem.

SALEM – Butech Bliss has acquired both LM Equipment & Design and Lehmann Mills. The two companies share the same facilities in Salem.

Butech Bliss, a manufacturing and engineering plant that builds custom coil and rolling mill processing equipment for the metal industry, was established in 1985 when John Buta founded Butech and later bought the assets. and the intellectual property of Bliss-Salem.

Buta, a lifelong resident of Salem who worked for both Bliss and LM Equipment before founding Butech, believes that bringing these local manufacturing facilities together into the Butech Bliss family will not only benefit employees, the community and to businesses, but to all affected customers.

The synergies associated with the manufacturing, engineering and commercial support of these product lines will improve the technology, competitiveness and customer satisfaction of this new team.

LM Equipment is an OEM dedicated to the design and construction of coil processing machines and systems for the metal industry. This acquisition allows owners of PAXSON equipment to access the services of Butech Bliss to better maintain this equipment. Services such as prompt delivery of spare parts, engineering services to upgrade or modify equipment, and full field service for shipping any mechanical, electrical or hydraulic need.

Lehmann Mills manufactures high quality dispersion mills and has built over 5,000 in its more than 100 year history. Lehmann also offers quality service, reconditioning and spare parts service, not only for its mills, but for any branded dispersion mill.

Collectively, this expanded business will serve customers ranging from cosmetics and chocolate to specialty metals and steel.

Butech Bliss especially thanked The Sustainable Opportunity Development Center (SOD Center), the economic development organization of Salem, which assisted Butech Bliss with several resources during the acquisition of Lehman Mills.

Julie Needs, executive director of the SOD Center, provided environmental contacts and resources through the Ohio EPA as well as incentive options available through regional and state economic development organizations and partners.

The SOD Training Center will also assist Butech Bliss with specialized training opportunities for Lehman Mills employees.
